Platform Scale
Low profile platform scale mounts keep scale low to ground for increased flow of animals in and out of chute. Moly’s platform scale kit is designed to report rapid and accurate weight information, accomplished by placing the load bars on the four outside corners of the chute for a more stable weighing device. Maintenance is quick and easy with Moly’s simple load bar replacement system. Its simple to quickly change out any single load bar.
Moly’s scale kit includes:
- 18 ft. power cord
- 4-1 1/2” diameter, 2500 lb. capacity platform weigh bars (total capacity 10,000 lbs.) with 30 ft. cord (5 pin), gauged 2 1/8”
- Assembly hardware
- Scale brackets (and installation of brackets on new SILENCER chute)
- Model 640 Weigh-Tronix Weight Indicator with RS232 Serial Port
- 3 year warranty on Weight Indicator
- 3 year warranty load bars
Overhead Scale
Moly’s Modular Overhead Scale package is designed to operate in three positions: the scale weighing position, which is adjustable in height; the lifted position for easier cleanout mechanically locks for safety; and the ground position, or floor position, is used when scale capabilities are not needed.
Lower your maintenance costs!
Overhead Scales maximize the life of scale components by locating the electronic wiring above the chute, away from water and manure, and eliminates the wires being cut or pulled loose. Moly’s Overhead package requires only 2 load cells instead of the usual 4.
Moly’s Overhead Scale Package can be set-up quickly! Two easy, weld-on carrying brackets are provided. The SILENCER chute sets inside the legs of the Overhead Scale framework, removing any rocking motion of the chute during weighing operations. Overhead scales may be operated off an existing chute pump with the use of a selector valve or with an extra hydraulic spool on the SILENCER.

Weigh-Tronix Model 640 Weight Indicator
A better “weigh” to measure the performance of your operation. The Avery Weigh-Tronix Model 640 indicator gives you simple, yet accurate and reliable weighing for a number of applications.
Features & Benefits:
- Simple Operation – ZERO key zeros the scale; PRINT key transfers weight data to printer, computer, or transfer data module (TDM-40).
- Gross/Tare/Net – G/N key allows viewing of either gross or net weights. TARE key is useful for temporary “zeroing” of the scale.
- Readable Display – 6 digit – 14 segment, alpha-numeric LCD display, with bright backlighting for low light applications (1.1″).
- Rugged Construction – Seamless polycarbonate enclosure with sealed back panel protects indicator from vibration, impact, moisture, and dust.
- HOLD – Holds weight constant when moving mobile equipment (i.e. grain carts, mixers, weigh carts, etc.).
- Auto-LOC – “LOCK On and Hold” livestock weights on the display for easy viewing.
- Direct Connect – Weigh Bars can be connected directly to the indicator, saves on cost of a junction box, and increases reliability.
- Motion Filtering – Enhanced dual “harmonizer” filtering settles down weight display for easy viewing. Ideal for filtering excess motion on mixers and livestock applications.
- Memory Accumulators – 100 six-character alpha-numeric accumulator channels. Useful in identifying fields, seed type, livestock groups, or amounts of recipes batched and fed.
- Accumulate – Access memory channels with the RM key, accumulate manually (M+) or automatically with Auto-LOC.
- Reports – Standard G/T/N printouts available, with optional RS-232 port. Additional reports list the accumulator channels and their count, average, and total accumulations.
- Front Panel Programming – All setup and calibration can easily be performed from the keypad without having a simulator or weights.
- Low Power Requirement – Gives extended life to your battery power source.
- Automatic Shut-Down – Low battery warning. Automatic shutdown below 9 volts and optional programming sleep mode shutdown after inactivity of scale occurs.
- Power Recovery – Returns to same weight display after a power failure, including the latest Tare weight.
